"When I saw this boat in real life in Southern Italy it was a striking scene, all the while beautiful and funny to me. Giuseppe was the actual name of the boat which felt like the quintessential Italian name. It was funny to me because most boats are named after women. I guess Giuseppe was either really proud of his boat or didn't want someone to take it! I'm sure there's a story here. I love the transparent waves crashing in at the shoreline and the village in view with flowers at the windows.
The beautiful blue cove water and thick pallet knife clouds set this painting apart as a beautiful scene but says "'I'm ready for adventure.'"- Archie
