Italian Blue Door to the Soul
"This beautiful church door is from a small fishing village in Southern Italy. I love the hand detail sea-wear of this gorgeous teal blue door and the Roman stone work. The date of the church can barely be seen above the door dating back to 1888. A rebuild after a major earthquake.
One of the things that struck me when I saw this door was the smaller door built into the larger for easy passage, the doors are very heavy. It reminded me of how we often live our lives very guarded and very safe. We don't spend a lot of time fully opening ourselves to love, joy, and new opportunities. We prefer to play it safe and take life through the small door. I want to live a life full of purpose, joy, health, and have a mindset fixed on growth and open those large doors! That's what this painting means to me, and I want that for your life too." -Archie
